The Main Update
A lovely lady at my local clay studio gave me her old kiln - for free! It is a little ~45L kiln which previously could only do a bisque firing as it needed new elements - but I've gone ahead and taken it for servicing at Kiln Care in Stoke.I'm hoping to test a glaze firing soon but I'm battling between wanting to be chaotic (glazing previously fired pieces without test tiles first) vs being organised (doing a bisque firing first with test tiles and then glazing them)... or maybe I be double chaotic and just do both. And not tell anyone if the former ends up with a pile of ugly pots.

I loved going to Stoke to see the Pot Clays showroom and may have spent more than I should on brush-on glazes. I can't help myself, but I love the textured, reactive, colourful fun glazes that are being made.
The Website
Yeah, maybe I'm silly, but I decided that not only do I want to be learning game dev, pixel art, pottery, etc. but also that I want to re-learn HTML & CSS to make my own custom website on neocities.
I'm not sure what I want to use it for yet or whether I will end up migrating the whole blog there. But for now it stands as a catch all for my various projects, and a portal for my external links. Please note that a lot of it is unfinished as you will very quickly see!
I do want to eventually put my portfolio on there as I would prefer not to rely on so many external platforms (like Artstation). I also would love to reduce my social media presence generally but I can't yet bring myself to delete certain profiles 🥺 Annoyingly I feel I should probably keep FB for local stuff and IG for possible business stuff in the future. Bluesky has been quite a nice place to house game dev stuff...
